Internal Tooth Bleaching
Internal tooth bleaching is a dental procedure that is used to whiten the teeth. At the heart of the procedure is a special chemical, which acts an oxidizing agent. The endodontist applies this chemical by drilling very small holes within the tooth to hold the oxidizing agent. This agent is left in the tooth for up to two weeks. Once the whiteness is at the desired level, the endodontist will fill each hole to ensure there are no problems with infection. Internal tooth bleaching can be used as a stand-alone service or it can be combined with external teeth whitening products or over the counter remedies.
